I ordered a Bestop Extendatrunk from Jeep Parts 4 less because they were $80 cheaper than anyone else when you factor in the shipping. I was pleasantly surprised when it showed up 6 days after I placed the order. Today we decided to take the seat out and go ahead and get it installed. We open up the box and inside are the three plastic pieces and nothing else, no hardware was included to install it. I’ve sent them an email, they have no phone number listed to call. I hope they respond soon.
On the bright side we have set it in to see how it looks and its perfect for what we need. When we head off to Vegas we’re going to have a laptop, and a lot of camera equipment with us. We want to be able to take hikes and do touristy things with out having to carry to expensive stuff with us or worry about it being left in the car.
I know I’ve raved about my SpiderWeb Shade Top under my product reviews but I have to rave about it again. The weather here has finally become nice enough to go topless with highs in the mid 80’s and no rain clouds in sight. I wanted to spend some time in the sun but the top needs to stay on to keep the kids protected. The SpiderWeb came through for me again. I wrapped it underneath the roll bar and connected it to the frame in the back so that it’s doubled up. After a few test runs I have to say that it works brilliantly. I get to be topless and the kids are out of the sun, it doesn’t get much better than that.
Here are a few pictures so you can see how I’ve attached it.

For everyone that has asked where to get the Spider Web Shade Top you can buy them HERE
On Wednesday I received what was to be the last of my Jeep accessories via UPS and I have to say it was anti-climatic. We ordered a bikini top with the idea that we could just throw the Mopar cab cover over the top at night. Given that the cover is a dud the bikini top is pretty much a waste for us. It’s now destined to go into storage and collect dust until next summer when we’re home and the Jeep can be garaged. I’ve just ordered a SpiderWeb Shade Top. I have high hopes for this, it looks really promising seeing that you can put the soft top up and leave the SpiderWeb Top on.
My next purchase was two BestTop saddle bags. We are going to use one as a catch all for kids stuff and the other is going to be an emergency kit. They are really thick and good quality, I’m looking forward to the sun coming out so I can drop the top and strap them on.
The third item received was a Cloverpatch Window roll. This is going to come in handy for us, we use every bit of available space we have and being able to put the window roll on and always have them with us will be great, much better than the current means of storage in the back of the Yukon. The weather in the Ozarks changes so quickly it’s only a matter of time before we start out on a sunny day and end up in a downpour.
See, a Jeep can easily fit a family of four as long as you spend a fortune on accessories
